Photos from photoshoot

This is the model that I used for images of new singer Ava Reyna featured in the DPS.
I chose to use this image for the contents page of the magazine because, the way the model is sat on the chair is rebellious and rock style. This is a high key photo.

This is the first one of the three images I chose for the Double Page Spread. They are arranged in order, as though it is a sequence. I used this image because of the way the model is holding the chair above her head as though she is about to smash it on the floor. It shows destruction and going against what is normally expected. This is a high key photo.

This is the second image of the three in a sequence on the DPS. I chose to use this image because it joined with the other two photos, and gives the images continuity. In this photo the model's expression looks agressive as her teeth are clenched together and her eyes and squeezed shut as though she is angry. This is a low key photo.

This is the last image in the sequence I chose to use for the Double Page Spread. It is like a follow on from the previous picture. Showing destruction as she smashes the chair onto the ground. This is a high key photo.

I chose not to include this image in my magazine because it looks too posed. Also the
chair is cropped out of the picture making it look unfinished and unprofessional. This is a low key photo.

I didn't use this picture on any of the magazin pages because it looks too girly and the model seems too far away from the camera. This is a low key photo.

I didn't use this photo for the magazine because most of her body is cropped off and the style of the photo doesn't suit the style of my magazine. This is a high key photo.

I have used this photo for the magazine because it is a high quality image and the model looks relaxed. She is looking directly at the camera smiling as though she is easy to talk to and fun. Her outfit shows her rebellion, skull necklace, checked shirt and black military boots. This is a high key photo.

I also used this photo for the DPS because it is naturalistic, which gives it a laid back effect. The photo has been taken in a photography studio which makes it look professional. This is a high key photo.

Photos from Photoshoot

This is another set of images from a model tested for Ava Reyna's DPS. I didn't use this model because she didn't have the right look/style for the type of music magazine I am doing.

This is a posed, high key photo. The way the model is posed is not the type of pose you would see in a rock magazine.

This is a low key photo. It is also posed. This photo would look good in a pop magazine or a dance magazine, because it connotes a fun, carefree personality.

This is a high key photo. It is posed and the model is looking directly at the camera. These photos were taken in a photography studio, so they look professional.

This photo is high key. It is a posed picture that looks naturalistic. If I was going to use this model I would have wanted to use this image. What the model is wearing isn't the sort of clothes you would expect someone in a rock magazine to be wearing, which is another reason I didn't use this model.

This photo is high key. It is obviously posed. The photo didn't turn out high quality as the model has her eyes shut. So I wouldn't have used this image.

Photographs Of TMB Live

Live shots of The Midnight Beast at The Cockpit. These were taken whilst at a gig. I would have used these images but they were not high quality, as they were taken on a mobile phone and it's hard to get good quality photos at a gig.

This is a high key, live shot. It is naturalistic and monochromatic.

This is a high key photo. It is naturalistic and passive. I could not have used this photo becasue someone's hand got in the way of the photo.

This is a low key photo. It is busy and naturalistic. I would have used this image, as it shows it is a gig by the person taking a photo at the front of the image.

This is a high key photo. It is naturalistic and passive. This is the clearest photo out of the collection. I would have used this image.

This is a photo of one of the band members (Ashley) with a fan. The photo came out blurry because it was taken on a mobile phone. It is a low key photo. It is posed and passive. It is also slightly monochromatic.

This is a high key photo. It is naturalistic and passive. I would have used this photo for the magazine.

This is a high key photo. It is naturalistic and busy. This photo is colourful and live. I could not have used this image because it is blurry and hard to see. It is not high quality.
